Jamunarini Veeraraghavan, Ph.D., is an experienced molecular and cell biologist with an extensive cancer research background, especially in the area of breast cancer. She earned her Ph.D. in oncology and cancer biology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2012. She joined Baylor College of Medicine as a postdoctoral research fellow before joining the faculty as an assistant professor in 2019.

Research Overview:

Dr. Veeraraghavan’s primary research interests are to delineate the mechanisms of resistance to potent HER2-targeted therapies, to unravel the molecular and genomic complexity and therapy-induced evolution of HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer, and to exploit new therapeutic vulnerabilities to develop treatment strategies to effectively circumvent treatment resistance and metastasis in HER2-positive breast cancer.
